Fresh living herbs are a fantastic and healthy way of adding flavour to dishes and can help transform even the simplest weeknight meal into an exciting creation.

 

Here are just a few of our top tips:

  • Use fresh coriander in hot water with lemon and honey for a delicious herbal tea
  • Coarsely chop fresh thyme and mix with butter and a little sea salt. Push under the skin of a chicken before roasting for extra flavour
  • Add chopped basil to a chocolate brownie mix for a delicious twist on a family favourite
  • Use sprigs of fresh mint to decorate carrot cake, to adddepth and flavour
  • Add freshly chopped parsley and a dash of lemon to a white sauce to enrich the flavour
  • Add rosemary to tomatoes before roasting them; ideal for sauces and passata for a deep, sunny flavour
